How come airfares and availability varies?

I’m so aggravated! We booked a flight and found the nonstop flight cost way more, 97.00. So we went with the flight that has one stop and is lots cheaper. So I checked today and suddenly the non stop flight is available again and down 102.00!! It’s too late to change now, cause we already paid for the other, but what gives? Why do airfares and flights vary daily? I should mention that the trip we want to take isn’t for another 3 months, so it’s not like a last minute thing. I sure am po’d!!!

The reason it varys is because of fuel costs and number of people flying.

The more airlines flying the route will also dictates prices amount of flights the more competition on particular route will also dictates prices amount of flights the more airlines flying the more airlines flying the route will also play part in.
